While preparing for Giang Huong the Musical’s holiday run, singer Hoang Kim Ly (Giang Huong) has also been active in the musical scene of Ho Chi Minh City.
A regular face on HBSO’s (Ho Chi Minh City’s Ballet and Symphony Orchestra) programs, Hoang Kim also held her first live show this past April 2017. Titled “Duyên” (Destiny), the first live show was Hoang Kim‘s way to celebrate people dear to her. “I think that everything in life require a little fate,” she mused. “I had the chance to meet many lovely friends, colleagues and audiences. Music is my destiny and I really want to say thank you to these lovely people with my voice and music”.
Live show “Duyen” featured special appearance from Hoang Kim’s love interest on stage, Tan Dat (who originated the role Tu Thuc), as well as Ngoc Quy (Top 3 The Voice Vietnam 2013) and Sevinch-Hanh Phuc (Top 2 X-Factor Vietnam 2014).
For her first live show, Hoang Kim alternated between romantic pop ballads such as Kiep nao co yeu nhau, Dong song xanh, Đoi bo, Nuong chieu… and musical numbers, her forte, such as Memory, I Dreamed a Dream, The Prayer, Time to Say Goodbye…
The show took place at Cafe Hi-End, 21 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
